About the System
This system is used to apply for Ethical Clearance at Botswana Open University (BOU).
New User Registration
1. First-time users should create a User Account before using the Ethics Management System.
2. Click on the "New User" option on the Login Page to create a new User Account.
3. Use the following guidelines for User ID:
- Students: Enter your valid BOU Student Number
- Staff, Tutors, and Supervisors: Enter your valid BOU Employee Number
- External Members (Non-Citizens): Enter your valid Passport Number
- External Members (Citizens): Enter your valid Omang ID
Application Process
1. BOU students should specify their BOU supervisor email when making an ethical clearance application.
2. Students should verify their BOU supervisor email with their respective supervisor.
3. After successful login, click on the "Apply" option to make an ethical clearance application.
4. Students are recommended to use the BOU Standard Consent Forms available under the Documents section after logging in.
